The D11 Fact Sheet

There is much disinformation and misinformation circulating around the School District 11 community. Much of this misinformation is being spread by those who are intent on maintaining the status quo. This blog will set the record straight and it will educate the public on the identities of these defenders of the status quo.

What a surprise

The National Education Association, the parent organization of the Colorado Springs Education Association (which is funded by D11 tax payers), has a recomendation or two for your reading pleasure: Saul Alinsky. To think that this radical leftist organization is really about helping kids....

See the recommendation here: http://www.nea.org/tools/17231.htm.

Typical rightwingnut misinformation. A kid most certainly can quietly read a Bible in a school cafeteria while at lunch. It happens every day in our schools, if you paid any attention at all.

And, speaking of misinformation, Cox does it again. To say that the CSEA is "funded by D11 tax payers" is misleading in the extreme. But that's always your intention, isn't it, Cox? If you ever told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth... you'd be as silent as that kid quietly reading his Bible.

Sounds as if you are only accepting of the kid reading his Bible if he does it “quietly.” Is it now OK if this kid uses the Saul Alinsky approach to spread his beliefs about the Bible?

By the way, I searched around and could not find the web page that the NEA has used to encourage kids to read that Bible. Can you send me the link?

As far as your uninformed belief that the tax payers do not fund your corrupt labor union, here is help from you from your own corrupt contract:

Article III E. 1. The Board shall grant the following to the Associa¬tion President, one of which he or she may choose: (1) Release time of one-half (1/2) day each day of the school year or the Association and the Board will share equally the cost of a one-half (1/2) time contracted teacher on regular salary or (2) Leave of absence. The Board agrees to pay an annual amount equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of salary with the Association paying the balance.

In layman’s terms, the taxpayers foot either ½ or ¼ the pay of the labor union leader each year while this person does not teach. D11 is also funding the labor union by forwarding over $98,000 per month from D11 accounts to fund your membership. This costs the D11 tax payers a good amount of money each year. If you wanted to fund your own corrupt labor union, you would send the money to your union bosses all by yourself.
